A $25,000 cash-only bond was set Monday for a Jefferson County man currently on probation on drug-related charges.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Hunter White, 20, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
White was arrested Friday after White Hall Police Lt. Mickey Buffkin stopped the vehicle White was driving on West Street at 4:35 p.m.
A check with the Arkansas Crime Information showed that White did not have a driver’s license and had a search warrant waiver on file.
During the search of White’s person and vehicle, officers found a bag that White said was his. Inside the bag was a pouch containing a spoon, a syringe and a clear bag with a white substance that field tested positive for cocaine.
Buffkin said in the probable cause affidavit that the suspected drugs will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for analysis.
