The 2017 Arkansas Legislative Audit found no issues with the City of White Hall’s governmental operations, Mayor Noel Foster announced Monday night at the White Hall City Council meeting.
Among other things, auditors check to ensure that each city, county and school district in the state are properly accounting for their tax dollars.
“Our records are excellent,” Foster told aldermen.
The audit report states that “our audit procedures indicated that the above offices (mayor, clerk/treasurer/district court clerk/police chief) were in substantial compliance with Arkansas fiscal and financial laws.”
In other business, aldermen unanimously passed a resolution authorizing Foster to convey 50 feet of city property “in which the city has no use now or anticipated use in the future and the property is costly to maintain.”
The city quitclaimed its interest in the property to William and Robin Browning and Judy and Jetty Pratt Jr.
