The Pine Bluff Country Club recently hosted 168 competitors from multiple states at the 54th Annual Four Ball Match Play Invitational.
This year’s Four Ball Champions are Winston Sizemore of Pine Bluff and Reid Stewart of White Hall.
“Both of these amateurs battled throughout the weekend to a final match in which they claimed their victory on the final hole of Sunday’s match,” a news release said.
“Thank you to all tournament sponsors, entrants and supporting spectators for making this annual event a spotlight for Jefferson County and Pine Bluff.”
The event is a staple golf tournament for Pine Bluff and Southeast Arkansans, according to the news release.
This year’s tournament featured top amateurs from Colorado, Michigan, Texas and several other states.
The format for the Four Ball is match play over a three-day period with several internal competitions within the tournament. Sissy’s Log Cabin, the event’s primary sponsor, along with many community business partnerships, “provided a weekend full of exciting events within and outside of the golf tournament,” the news release said.
