Junior Golf starts its 20th season and has 170 juniors, with room for more. There are several brand-new golfers who need one-on-one help.
If you have experience as a golfer, you can help. This happens on Wednesdays in June and July from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Magellan Golf Course. Chipping, putting and driving help is needed. Carting the kids from the parking lot to the practice area is always needed.
The 18- and 9-holers receive lessons at Granada driving range from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday. And here also, there is a need for help. If you can be of help, contact Jack Barry at 922-2502.
Play began 9 a.m. June 8 on Coronado Golf Course. Results: 18-hole low score was 72, Scott Schmid;, 9-hole low score was 49, Gabe Doster; 5-hole low score was 26, Carter Ragsdale and Jesse Pepper.

If you can be of help driving the golf cart for kids and helping to keep score, your help would be appreciated. Call Barry at the previously listed number or Bill Veal at 922-3478. For more information, check out www.hsvjuniorgolf.org.
