A polling of White Hall football fans indicates the Bulldogs have made believers of their followers.
The fifth-ranked Dogs were a unanimous pick to upend No. 2 Monticello here Friday night.
Here’s a rundown on the predictions.
• SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER STEVE BRICKEY – White Hall 28, Monticello 24 – “They say every dog has its day. Well, White Hall’s Dogs will have their day on Friday.”
• SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER DEAN DANCER – White Hall 22-21 – “I can envision this game coming down to a final drive. White Hall will score a touchdown and then win it with a gutsy two-point conversion.”
• WHHS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL DOUG DORRIS JR. – White Hall 21-20 – “Monticello’s one of the state’s best teams, but so is White Hall. Home advantage and a loud White Hall crowd will help the Dogs take a big win.”
• WHITE HALL ALDERMAN JOEL FOSTER – White Hall 28-21 – “The kids’ hearts are in it and they’ve got momentum.”
• WHITE HALL POLICE CHIEF NOEL FOSTER – White Hall 27-24 – “We’ve got a super bunch of coaches and players, and we’ve also got a booster club and fans that are second to none.”
