White Hall football coach Mike Vaughn (center) presents a ceremonial game ball to running back A.J. Richardson following the Bulldogs’ 33-14 come-from-behind win over Sheridan here Friday night. Richardson ran for 220 yards on 17 carries – an average of 12.9 yards per touch – and scored touchdowns on runs of 13, 22 and 65 yards. The win lifted White Hall, ranked sixth in the state in Class 5A, to a 2-1 mark. The Bulldogs open 5A-Southeast Conference play this week against winless Sylvan Hills, a team that Vaughn insists is much stronger than its record indicates.
