Justin Curry ended October on a high note and started November with a bang.

The former Northside running back ran for a career-high three touchdowns and 157 yards as the University of Central Oklahoma retained the President's Cup for a fifth-straight year after burying Northeastern State 62-0 Saturday in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association action at Doc Wadley Stadium.

Curry had 111 yards and a touchdown on the last Saturday of October, then cut loose Saturday with touchdown runs of 3, 2 and 46 yards, all in the second half.

Curry has rushed for 379 yards this season for 6.4 yards per carry.

The Bronchos (7-3) have won five in a row and seven of eight.

Matthew Ward

Former Charleston star scorer Matthew Ward's Ouachita Baptist Tigers were in Stillwater, Okla., for Sunday's exhibition game with Oklahoma State.

The Tigers open the season Friday against Central Arkansas Baptist College.

Ward played in 23 games and averaged 3.0 points per contest in 9.4 minutes of action in 2017-18. Ward scored a season-high 21 points in a December 2017 win over Central Baptist College. He went for 22 the previous season against CBC.

The 2014 Times Record Player of the Year, Ward played in 15 games as a freshman, 27 as a sophomore, and appeared in 23 games last season.

Ward was named the Great American Conference Elite Scholar Athlete and Ouachita All-Academic Team last season. Ward's younger brother, Michael, is an OBU redshirt sophomore.

Luke Hales

College: University of Central Arkanas

Luke Hales threw for 257 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's loss to Lamar. The 19th-ranked Bears dropped to 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the Southland Conference.

Hales was 18-of-45 overall with no interceptions. He's thrown for 1,098 yards in relief of starter Breylin Smith since he was inserted as the team's starting quarterback on Oct. 6.

The Bears host the University of Incarnate Word in their 2018 home finale Saturday.

Hailey Bunch

High School: Northside

College: Central Baptist College

Former Northside standout Hailey Bunch will begin her final collegiate season at Central Arkansas Baptist this week when the Mustangs face Central Arkansas on Tuesday at Farris Gymnasium in Conway.

Bunch started 10 of the team's 29 games as a junior. She transferred to CBC after two seasons at Eastern Oklahoma State College.

Bunch scored six points in Saturday's 111-40 exhibition victory over Ecclesia College.

Yuri Richardson

Sport: Soccer

High School: Northside

College: Harding University

Former Northside soccer standout Yuri Richardson finished the fall soccer season with five points for the 7-10 Bison.

Richardson scored two goals and finished with one assist. Richardson scored goals against Northeastern State and Ouachita Baptist University.

The Bison finished 7-5 in the Great American Conference.

Addison Mitchell

High School: Southside

College: Dallas Baptist University

Mitchell will play in her final golf tournament of the fall this week when DBU competes in the Rollins Legends Invitational at the prestigious Country Club of Orlando.

Last week, Mitchell shot 78-76-81 at SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational.

Mitchell shot 79-75 while helping Dallas Baptist win the DII National Preview last month in Canyon, Texas.
