An Unexpected Visitor

The Journal had an unexpected visitor Friday afternoon when this well- behaved and friendly pooch showed up at a side door, seemingly eager for attention. It was momentarily shy but soon accepted an invitation to come inside and enjoyed some dog food and fresh water. Although the dog was wearing a collar, it didn’t posses any identification. Thus, the dog was turned over to a city animal control officer, who motored it to the city’s animal shelter. Hopefully, the dog’s owner has since claimed it and all is well with our new-found friend at home once more – safe, warm and loved, as it deserves to be.
