Geral D. Harrison, Sr., 77, of Hot Springs, died Monday, April 26, 2010, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Keo, he was a son of the late Earl and Irene Johnson Harrison.
A graduate of Plum Bayou High School, he worked for the Pine Bluff School District and was retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Willie Stracener; and his first wife, Mary Lynne Baker Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sanderlin Harrison of Hot Springs; two daughters, Carol Harrison Miller of Memphis, Tenn., and Ginger Harrison Culpepper of Maumelle; five sons, Geral D. Harrison, Jr. of Sheridan, Bret L. Patton of Heber Springs, and David Bryan Harrison and Drue C. Patton both of North Little Rock, and Kyle E. Patton of Little Rock; two sisters, Patsy Jean Pettit of England, JoAnne Carr of White Hall; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held April 29, at Lakeside United Methodist Church of Pine Bluff. Jim Brooks officiated. Arrangements were by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Private burial will take place at a later date.
