Bernice Stroble Hurst, 83, of the Hardin Community, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010.
She was born April 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Marion Adolph ‘Boots’ and Eva Marie Rawls Stroble.
She received her education in the Watson Chapel School District and had worked for for Georgia-Pacific Bag Plant. She was a member of Hardin Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William V. Hurst; a sister, Josephine Hankins; a brother, Edward Stroble; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is survived by a son, Ray Taylor of Flippin; two daughters, Linda Chastain of Star City, and Ann Heird of Hardin; three step-children, Sheila Austin of Star City, William Hurst of Watson Chapel, and Donnie Hurst of Lancaster, Tex.; two sisters, Doris Earnest of Pine Bluff, and Selma James of White Hall; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, at Hardin Baptist Church. Dewey Davis officiated. Burial followed in Hardin Cemetery. Arrangements were by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall.
