Arthur Phillips

    Arthur Lee Phillips, 87, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center here.
    He was born June 16, 1922, in Jefferson County, a son of the late Verdie C. And Gussie Kelley Phillips.
    A 1940 graduate of White Hall High School and had served in the U. S. Army Air Corp. He was retired from International Paper and was a member of Forrest Park Assembly of God Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Willie and Eulan Phillips; and a son, Roger L. Phillips.
    He is survived by his wife, Eva Kelley Phillips; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Snell of Pine Bluff.
     Funeral services were held  Jan. 13, 2010, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors of Pine Bluff. 
    Terry Newman and David Dalton officiated. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Roger Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund, National Park Community College Foundation, 101 College Dr., Hot Springs, Ark 71913.
