Robert C. ”Bob” Hager, Sr., 73, of Hot Springs Village, died Monday, May 24, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs.
He was born June 25, 1936,  in Batesville, a son of the late Charles A. And Emma K. Miller Hager.
He was a 1955 graduate of White Hall High School and he had served in the United States Air Force.
A member of Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, he was retired from Southern Pacific Railroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Hawkins Hager; and a brother, Roger Hager of Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Lee Hager; a daughter, Kristy Griffith of Sheridan; a son, Robert C. Hager, Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska; two step sons, Greg Stewart of Benton, and Lee Stewart of Perryville; a brother, Bill Hager of Hot Springs; two sisters, Charlene Scott of Little Rock, and Debbie Fiser of Chattanooga, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at noon, on Thursday May 27, 2010, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan. Horace Gray will officiate. A private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Chapter of the American Heart Association, 909 West Second St., Little Rock, Ark. 72201.
