A portion of Highway 46 near here will be closed several days from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, June 14, when Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (ASHTD) workers replace pipe culverts.
The construction site is located 7.2 miles southwest of Redfield and 8.8 miles northeast of Sheridan (approximately three-tenths of a mile north of Grant County Rd. 4608).
The work is expected to continue through Thursday, June 17, weather permitting. Work will be resumed Monday, June 21, through Thursday, June 24. Rains could extend the work schedule.
The highway will be re-opened to traffic each evening and on weekends. Motorists traveling between Redfield and Sheridan should use either Highway 270 or Highway 167 while improvements are under way.
