Steven Shelton, 40, of Redfield was killed in a one-car accident about 10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 104. A tree fell onto a car that Shelton was driving. The car overturned into a water-filled ditch, trapping him under the water for several minutes. He was freed for transport by ambulance to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. A passenger in Shleton’s car escaped injury. Arkansas State Police Trooper Oscar Bullard is investigating the accident.
