The performance was a mix of great dance numbers from music and movies such as Dirty Dancing, Grease, The Peanuts Movie and Footloose. Performances were choreographed by Tano Soto Cook and the show and set designs by John Bowman, art teacher at WHHS.

 

The White Hall High School Choral Department performed “Gettin Footloose” at the Pine Bluff Convention Center on Saturday, April 22. Director Jonathon Barranco said. “This year’s show is bittersweet for me, as it will be my last as Director of the WHHS choirs. Over the past five years I have been blessed by so many students, parents and colleagues. I hope that I have been able to give at least half as much as I have been given.”

The students performed 26 numbers over two parts. The entire 9th-12th grade choirs performed which amounts to over 150 students. The numbers performed were I’ve Had the Time of My Life, Better When I’m Dancin, Viva La Vida, Seventeen, “Audition” from LaLa Land, Man of Constant Sorrow, It’s Rainin Men, No Scrubs, Say You Won’t Let Go, How Will I Know, Pray for You, Smooth Criminal, Riptide/Little Talks, My Boyfriend’s Back, Born to Hand Jive/We Go Together, Tshotsholoza, The Lion, I Dreamed a Dream, Endless Love, Little Boy Blue, Fiddle Feature, True Colors, Vienna, Right Here Waiting, Ain’t No Sunshine, and Footloose Medley (featuring songs from the 1984 hit movie “Footloose”).

Featured students were Noah Hornbeck, Bailey Hughes, Sidney Locke, Jon Speer, Colton Rogers, Jacob Allen, Lance Smith, Clara Taylor, Ruth Ann Buckner, Josie Tomboli, Jaela Wilson, Nia Davis, Angel Allen, Kalyah Edwards, Tyra Parrish, Sydney Zuber, Michelle Benson, Hannah Hopkins, Kathryn Taylor, Devon Koonce, Blake Needler, Zack Spadoni, Nick Roper, Madison Jennings, Maggie Cooper, Brooke Braden, Noah Williams, Caroline Stone, Grant Bias, Jazmyn-Rayne Parker and a special by Mrs. Judy Warner.
