Joy Lynne Welch of Pine Bluff, and Matthew Robert Watts of Clinton exchanged wedding vows at 5:30 p.m., Sept. 12, 2009, at An Enchanting Evening in Roland.  Charles Hoover, grandfather of the bride, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is a daughter of Dan and Jana Hoover Edwards of Pine Bluff, and Jeff Welch of White Hall. Her grandparents are Charles and Billie Jean Hoover of Monticello, Judy Welch of Pine Bluff, and the late Jimmy Welch. She is a student at Baptist School of Nursing.
The groom is a son of Robert Watts of Clinton, and Linda LaReau of Ill. His grandparents are O’Neal LaReau of Ala., and the late Billy Lareau, Gloria Watts and Robert Watts. He is an assistant area manager for Progressive Solutions
Stevie Acosta, sister of the groom, kept the bride’s book. Nuptial music was furnished by Tina Craig. Ushers were Brice Hoover of Monticello, cousin of the bride, and Will Patterson Houston, Tex.
Given in marriage by her brother, Josh Welch, the bride wore a champagne colored Casablanca wedding dress that featured beaded chantilly lace over satin lining. The lace overlayed the scallops at the neckline with elaborate hand embroidery designs and crystals accenting the neckline, bodice, skirt and semi-chapel train. Crystals and fresh water pearls covered the finger tip veil.  She wore her mother’s diamond earrings along with a pearl and crystal bracelet, a gift from her mother.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of freedom and black magic roses and with crystal accents. The stems were wrapped in cream satin ribbon that was held together by a pearl necklace that was worn by her grandmother on her wedding day. The bouquet was clasped together with a broach from her great grandmother.
Nicci Norton of Woodlawn was the maid of honor. Michele Hoover  Roberts of Monticello, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor. Brides maids were Dona Glaze and Hanah Garrison. John Watts of Clinton, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Cody Wales of Monticello, Josh Garrison of Iowa, and Derek Leek of Watson Chapel. Hope Henderson of England, and Addison Puttnam of Woodlawn, were the flower girls.
A pool-side reception followed. Melinda Aaron of Little Rock was a server.
Following a wedding trip from Miami to Key West and Cozumel, the couple will reside at their home in White Hall.
A barbecue, hosted by Chuck and Carolyn Hoover and David and Michele Roberts all of Monticello,  was given for the couple at the home of the bride’s mother.
