REDFIELD – The newly-formed, non-profit Redfield Community Services Association (RCSA) is sponsoring an Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4.
Kicking off the day-long observance will be a 10 a.m. parade starting at the police station and proceeding to F.P. Baugh City Park, where the remainder of activities will be conducted.
The park will be hosting kid games, a dunking booth, live entertainment, and a Pine Bluff National Bank money machine. Vendors will be selling various refreshments, including barbecue, corn dogs, snow cones and soft drinks. Vendor forms are available at Redfield City Hall.
A horseshoe tournament is slated for 2 p.m. The entry fee will be $10 per person.
Also to be staged is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The entry fee will be $15 per team. Registration forms for both competitions are available at city hall and local businesses.
The celebration will end with a 9-9:30 p.m. fireworks extravaganza.
RCSA’s mission, according to a news release, is to “provide community activities and services to the citizens of Redfield and the surrounding area.”
