If you are planning to attend this year’s White Hall Police Officer’s annual Charity Ball set for Feb. 11, you might want to go ahead and get your tickets. According to Chief Wingard, the tickets are 90 percent sold out. The tickets have went well commented Wingard.
The event, held at Harbor Oaks in Pine Bluff’s Regional Park, is a fundraiser for the White Hall Police Officers Association, which utilizes profits in its community support efforts that are especially aimed at assisting our local youth, various community projects and assisting families during the Christmas holidays. Funding also helps assist the families of police officers that are sick, injured or killed in the line of duty. The Little Rock area band, Tragikly White, will be returning this year as the entertainment.
In addition to music and dancing, the formal event will feature an array of cocktails and hors d’ouevres, which are included with the ticket price of $100. There will also be silent and live auctions offering a variety of items, including a number of autographed Razorback, Nascar, Baseball and Pro Football memorabilia and items. Also up for grabs is a diamond, larger than a karat, that estimated for $7000. According to Wingard, for a $50 donation, you will get a champaign glass and a chance to win the precious stone, which was donated by Keepsakes Jewelry. There will only be 100 chances available for the diamond drawing.
Tickets are still available at the police department, for $100 each. For more information, telephone 870-247-1415.
