Sweeney and two passengers in her vehicle, Paulette Haltiwanger and Icey Marshall, complained of soreness and pain in their heads and necks. They advised they planned to transport themselves to JRMC to be examined.
A passenger in Elkins’ vehicle, Fred Pearce, had “cuts and scrapes’ visible on his right arm and complained of chest pain, but refused medical attention.
No citations were issued. Sweeney’s vehicle sustained an estimated $3,000 in damages while Elkins’ absorbed an estimated $2,500. Sweeney’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
